ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» You are now in the help-function of the Memory Programmer ÇÄ¿2 ÚÄÄÄĶ -menu of program IICTV. º ³ ³ ÚÄĽ º ³ ³ ÀÄÄ· ** Call help from Main Menu ("?") for a command-summary. ÇÄÙ ÀÄÄÄĶ º B U S º This menu allows you to READ / WRITE 128, 256 & 512 byte ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ memories like PCF8570/71/72/82/83 RAM's and (E)EPROMS. The data on the screen is the work-data and all actions refer to this buffer. Data can be loaded from a device (via IIC-bus) or from a file (if specified) and saved in (the same or) another file. If you load from a file, then the slave-address, size and e-w-time are copied from that file too. Uninitialized bytes are not displayed ("--"), but are preset to 16#00. NOTE: If you set the mode-setting Auto-Update "ON", then all enterred data will immediately be written to your device. In case of an EPROM you may want to switch this "OFF" since it's specified endurance (number of erase/write cycles) is only 10.000 cycles. .PA - The erase/write time is especially important for EPROM's and must be specified before programming a memory. The actual time on IIC-bus between STOP & START of two successive transmissions depends on so many factors (computer, Centronics & IIC-bus-interface, dipswitches), that it is impossible to show the exact value. The e-w-time specified is rather an additional delay than a true value. - The statusbar at the lower side of the menu will continuously show you which task is beiing performed. - Databytes that were verified and showed difference between work-data and data read back from the device (via IIC-bus) will be displayed in (magenta) reverse. - All datafiles for this menu are given the extension ".MEM". The program will use no other files than the ones created by itself, so there should be no conflict with your other files. To delete a datafile: quit the Main Menu and use your MS-DOS DELete command.
